Volunteer Opportunities

The Davidsons Mains Christmas Market is very much a community event and would not take place without the small army of volunteers required to help the committee make it happen each year. 

Volunteers take on roles including

• Marketplace Set Up – moving equipment, pitching tents, rigging lighting and more! 
• Stall Sales including Hot Chocolate, Mulled Wine, Sweetie Bags and Toys 
• Raffle Ticket Sales 
• Children’s Arts & Crafts – Helping the kids with a variety of fun, festive craft activities 
• Santa’s Little Helpers – Santa needs some Elf’s to help make sure all the kids get a chance to visit with him and get a gift 
• Marketplace Break Down – doing all the set up in reverse and getting it all packed away for the next event! 

It is a busy and fast moving day but all our volunteers have a lot of fun. 

In order to reduce admin time for the committee we are now using a booking system for volunteers to book a job and a time that suits them best so please have a look here and book a slot that works for you. 

Before Market Day we hold a craft night for volunteers to practice some of the children’s crafts and prep some of the items for sale which you will receive an invite for, attendance is optional. 

We also hold a briefing for all volunteers the evening before the event to go through logistics, health and safety and answer any questions about how the day will run.
